The Northern Powerhouse is the Government’s vision for a super-connected, globally-competitive northern economy with a flourishing private sector, a highly-skilled population, and world-renowned civic and business leadership.

The Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme is an essential part of creating the Northern Powerhouse. The Government is growing a network of partners who all believe strongly in the economic potential of the North, and support the need for a combined effort by the government and business to realise that potential. The campaign now has more than 300 partners from across the North including companies such as Eddie Stobart, AO, Sellafield and Womble Bond Dickinson.

As an agency we’ve grown from our Tees Valley roots into a national agency supporting ambitious, open minded and value driven, change-makers from across the UK. We work across a wide range of sectors including Maritime, Housing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Professional Services and FMCG. Our recent brand projects include clients such as Trinity House, PD Ports, thyssenkrupp, Visualsoft, MTVH, The Guinness Partnership, Equinox Kombucha and Philippa Gregory.

MD, Mark Easby, said:

“We strongly believe in the economic potential of our region and support the Government’s vision for a more prosperous North with more opportunities, higher-performing schools and world-beating universities.”

We are committed to skills development and retention within the Tees Valley through partnerships and collaboration projects with Teesside University and local schools/colleges to deliver work experience, internships, studio visits and career talks to help inspire the next generation, raise awareness of career opportunities and raise aspirations.

“As a passionate and active supporter and influencer within the Tees Valley creative, digital and media cluster we invest heavily in promoting the sector and its increasing awareness across the North East and wider Northern region.”

Mark is also Chairman of High Tide Foundation, an independent charitable Foundation, funded by businesses in the Tees Valley, which delivers life changing career experiences. High Tide opens young people’s eyes and minds to the Tees Valley’s diverse career opportunities providing real life work experience which increases understanding, improves skills, raises confidence, and builds aspirations.

Minster for the Northern Powerhouse, Jake Berry, said: “After meeting with Mark last week, I am thrilled to welcome them as the latest member of our growing Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme.

“Teesside boasts a growing digital sector and Better is clearly passionate about developing skills and helping people achieve their career aspirations in the creative industries, building on our own £126 million Local Growth Fund investment in Tees Valley.

“I also look forward to their continued work helping a wide range of local businesses promote themselves across the UK and beyond so they can take advantage of global opportunities and reach their full potential when we leave the EU on 31 October.”

There are businesses and organisations from across the North from a variety of sectors signed up to the partner programme. Prospective partners can email NorthernPowerhouse@communities.gov.uk for more information about the partner programme and how to apply.
