The Brief
Sound Training came to us with a renamed literacy learning product and their own brand story, but they still needed new names for their suite of products, a distinctive logo and design system and an all new digital presence. With a presence in over 700 schools worldwide and over 70,000 lives changed by this product, it was time for a more mature brand that could help them go even further.
Lexonik is a literacy teaching programme by Sound Training. Using a fast, focused and fun methodology it increases reading ages by 27 months in just six weeks. Students develop the ability to figure out what they need to do for themselves, making them an independent learner, not waiting to be spoon-fed or at a loss when not provided with the answer.
The Solution
This project didn’t have a traditional DISCOVER phase but that didn’t stop us getting first hand understanding of the product we were branding. By sitting in on a demonstration of the Lexonik methodology we learnt vital details about the way it works. Understanding the way words are broken down and taught in Lexonik allowed us to reflect their methodology visually in their brand, creating a striking, simple but uniquely relevant look.
