Born from the creative minds in our studio, located in the historic home of Bolckow and Vaughan, We Built the World is not just an art project; it's a journey through our region’s history, creativity, and innovation.

Our fresh collection of high-quality prints and posters are designed for anyone who appreciates accessible art and good design, with a fondness for the Tees region. Updated in new A2 and A3 poster sizes, improved print production process and more accessible pricing, we’re also excited to reveal that we’re working on several new print ideas, extending our celebration of Teesside’s landmarks, dialects, inventions, and industrial innovators.

We Built The World - Art prints celebrating Teesside's industrial heritage

All our unique prints are individually designed by our studio design team and are now printed by our expert production partners on Fujifilm 210gsm photo paper, chosen exclusively to produce high-quality colour prints. Each poster is printed using the Silver halide technique, a traditional photo printing method involving light-sensitive paper and silver-based chemistry, ensuring our prints capture true colours and offer a sharper, vivid image.

The team behind We Built the World is deeply rooted in Teesside, and our commitment to the region goes beyond business. From our window, we can see the world-famous Transporter Bridge. We were born and brought up in the area, and We Built the World represents our passion for Teesside, its history, heritage and future. And it’s a testament to our dedication to celebrating and supporting our local community.

Prints with Purpose

Our commitment extends beyond art and aesthetics. Profits from every sale of We Built the World prints feed directly into our Better Communities Fund to support local causes and community organisations.

It’s part of our agency’s mission to build a better place to live, learn, and work while celebrating Teesside’s spirit of innovation. The fund supports not-for-profit organisations, donating over £30,000 worth of support, resources and expertise annually and building ongoing partnerships with a number of purpose-driven champions.

Amongst those, we’re proud patrons of The Teesside Charity and 5th Wheel Members of the Headlight Project, actively supporting these organisations and helping to make a significant impact in our region. The fund has also directly supported organisations like Daisy Chain and Our Hospitals Charity, who have benefited from our expertise in strategic brand thinking, design, and digital development.

In a similar vein, education and nurturing young talent are pillars of our community involvement, with activity and programme delivery backed by our community fund. Through partnerships with Teesside University, The Northern School of Art, and others, we’re committed to developing the next generation of creatives and showcasing career opportunities across the Tees region. Our involvement with the High Tide Foundation, led by our Managing Director Mark Easby, further reinforces our dedication to providing in-school and industry-led work experience opportunities for young people in our region.
