Supporting GSC Grays’ Charity Walk

Supporting GSC Grays’ Charity Walk

We are proud to be sponsoring longstanding client of ours, GSC Grays on their 72 mile non-stop relay charity walk along the River Tees today. The team consisting of Guy Coggrave, David Cooper, Chris Arundel, Lucinda Riddell and other members of staff, set off at 7.30am this morning and aim to complete the walk in under 30 hours.

Raising money for Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team and Yorkshire Cancer Research, the walk began at Cow Green Reservoir at the head of Teesdale and will come to a conclusion at the Transporter Bridge tomorrow afternoon.

The first batch of the GSC team at Cow Green Reservoir this morning.

Guy Coggrave, managing director of GSC Grays, said: “Both charities do fantastic work in our region and given that we are planning to walk the route of the Tees, which perfectly bisects our key client areas of County Durham and North Yorkshire, we couldn’t think of two more appropriate charities to support.

“As a company we get inundated with requests for sponsorship and charitable help each year.

“This year we have chosen to focus our attention on these two key charities, enabling us to give a more significant donation rather than a ‘scatter-gun’ approach.”

Better is one of a number of businesses sponsoring separate stages of the walk, with others including: Handelsbanken, Lycetts, Kenneth Easby, Parnaby Evans, The Log Company, Baileys and Partners, and Tilly Bailey and Irvine.

Better Managing Director, Mark Easby said: “We’re very proud to be supporting GSC and both local causes. We wish the team the best of luck and we’ll certainly be waving and cheering as they make their final few steps of the trek past our studio on the way to the Transporter. “

The team hopes to raise £3000 for their chosen charities. You can support the group and help raise funds for the two charities by donating on their JustGiving fundraising page.
