Digital Intern Further Boosts Better’s Marketing Capability

The Better team has been expanded once again with the appointment of Digital Marketing Intern, James Bolton.

James joins our ever-growing Digital team, which earlier this year welcomed Head of Digital Marketing, Shaun Hogg. The role will involve originating digital marketing ideas, along with measuring and analysing service effectiveness.

Shaun commented: “We are delighted to welcome James to Better. This is a great opportunity for him and he is joining at an exciting time with the expansion of our Digital Marketing team.

“James has various relevant experience and qualities and has the potential to make a positive difference and be successful with us”.

With an NCTJ diploma to his name, James is a 21-year-old who brings a youthful creative mind and passion to the team. With a keen interest in music, football and all things Teesside, he has experience in journalism and PR, as well as over three years working in retail content marketing and eCommerce management at a successful local independent company.

James said:

“I am proud to join such a progressive, dynamic and award winning company and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead.”

James also co-runs his own business, Ironopolis 1876, which produces Teesside inspired t-shirts, accessories and prints. With influences varying from pubs and working men’s clubs to industry, music and art, it’s this eclectic flair and passion for the area that James is hoping to fuse with the latest digital marketing ideas and techniques.

He added: “Having set up my own business at the start of this year, I understand both the advantages and challenges creative businesses on Teesside face.

“I believe my writing and creative skills, together with my firsthand experience and hard work ethic, will help me get the best out of my abilities in digital marketing”.

James and Shaun, along with Digital Marketing Executive, Sian Arthur, now have their sights set on further developing and managing our digital services by strengthening and creating effective partnerships with a range of existing and new clients.

Digital Marketing is a modern necessity for companies of all industries and sizes.

A UK government report in early 2016 confirmed that creative industries, with a turnover of £84 billion in 2014, were growing at twice the rate of the UK economy, with marketing being one of the strongest sectors.

However, with ever evolving digital marketing technology, it can often be complex and difficult for companies to ensure value for money and maximise growth. This is where Better come in.

We already play an integral part in developing and implementing marketing strategies for a growing number of regional clients such as NECS, OddsMonkey, Maxwell Stephens, High Tide Foundation and Sterling. But now the time is right for us to invest further in our digital capacity.

And with expert knowledge in services such as Design, Marketing, Website Development and our very own BetterBrandBuilder ™, we offer the full package in brand management across all industries.
